Trevor Bauer of the Yokohama DeNA Baseball Stars picked up his seventh win of the season.

Bauer threw 114 pitches over seven innings, allowing one run on seven hits and six walks while striking out one, to earn the win against the Junichi Dragons at the Banterin Dome in Nagoya, Japan on July 27. Yokohama won 2-1.

Bauer picked up his seventh win of the season. He moved into a tie for fourth place in the Central League in wins. His season ERA is now 3.29.

Bauer worked out of an early jam. He was hit by a leadoff single from Yuuki Okabayashi and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. She then got an infield popup and a swinging strikeout to end the inning.

In the second inning, leadoff hitter Yohei Oshima singled to center field. With two on and two out, he chose to face Mejia on an intentional walk. Mejia struck out swinging to end the inning.

Yokohama took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on a two-run homer by Toshiro Miyazaki. Bauer struck out three in the third and two batters later in the fourth, but an infield grounder ended the inning.

With a 2-0 lead in the fifth, Hiroki Fukunaga led off with a single and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. A wild pitch by Bauer advanced the runners to third. A grounder to shortstop ended the inning with the tying run at third.

With a 2-1 lead in the top of the sixth inning, the defense came to the rescue. Leadoff hitter Seiya Hosokawa reached on an infield single and advanced to second on a throwing error by the third baseman. Oshima followed with a bunt single to put runners on first and third.

The foreign hitter struck out swinging to end the threat. Shuhei Takahashi grounded out to the second baseman, but a super play by second baseman Shugo Maki prevented the tying run from scoring. Maki caught the ball, tagged out the runner at first base, and then quickly slid to first base for the out, ending the game.

With a 2-1 lead, he struck out two in the seventh to end the inning. He turned the ball over to the bullpen in the eighth, and Yokohama held on for a 2-1 victory 스포츠토토.

After the game, Bauer said, “It was a tough pitch, but it felt really good to get the win. I had a lot of help from my defense,” Bauer said after the game.

On Miyazaki’s leadoff home run, Bauer said, “That was an amazing home run. It gave me the lead and made me feel really comfortable throwing.” On Maki’s double play in the sixth inning, Bauer said, “When I got hit, I told myself that one run was inevitable. But how he came up with that play, it’s amazing,” he said in tribute.
