In the first game back for Lee “Faker” Sang-hyuk, T1 couldn’t have asked for a better first set.

In Game 1 of Day 1 of Week 9 of the 2023 League of Legends Champions Korea Summer at Roll Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul on Sunday, T1 took down Guangdong Freecs in 23 minutes, showing a marked difference in both their operations and their ability to engage.

T1 started the game in the blue lane with Arox-Maokai-Jace-Jerry-Lakhan, while Guangdong Freecs started in the red lane with Renekton-Rell-Zerath-Kaissa-Nautilus. At around the nine-minute mark, Arox “Zeus” and Maokai “Owner” got the game off to a good start by picking up Dudu “Dudu” Renekton “Gifted” Rell to win the tower. Guangdong Freaks had to settle for chipping away at the mid lane health by releasing the hunted first Gorge Herald on the mid lane.

At 16-minutes, a fight broke out over the second Herald of the Gorge. Taking the Draxar, Arox “Zeus” Arax broke the enemy lane and picked up two kills, while Jerry “Kumayushi” Jerry followed the enemy tail and added two more kills to fuel T1’s momentum. With momentum on their side, T1 stacked up three dragons, picked up a baron at 21-minutes, and pulled away from Guangdong Freaks.

A bottom lane frontal hit led to another Arox-Jerry ace at 22-minutes, and T1 continued to devastate the enemy lane to secure the first set win 메이저놀이터.
