Son Heung-min has joined the South Korean national team squad for the A-Match, and the British media has taken note of the way he arrived.

The Sun reported on Sept. 6 (KST), “Humble Premier League stars take train for A-match.”

Son Heung-min recently left Tottenham Hotspur to join the South Korean national team for their A match against Wales at Cardiff City Stadium on September 8 at 3:45 am. Unlike his recent matches in South Korea, Son chose a different mode of transportation for the upcoming match in Wales, which is located right next to England.

“With a weekly wage of £200,000 (about $330 million) at Tottenham, you might expect Son to use a private jet and a chauffeur-driven car,” said The Sun. However, the humble South Korean captain chose an eco-friendly way to travel to Cardiff ahead of the match against Wales. “Son Heung-min traveled to Cardiff by train,” he said.

“The Premier League star traveled by public transportation with teammate Ben Davies, as they headed to their respective national teams in the Welsh capital. The two players met up at Cardiff Central Station after the last Burnley game,” he added.

“It’s refreshing to see a wealthy, high-profile athlete traveling in a normal way,” added Doucet, referring to Son’s train journey.

Ben Davies, who traveled with Son to Cardiff Central Station, is a member of the Welsh national team and is likely to play alongside Son in the A-match. After the Wales game, Son will return to Tottenham in time to face Saudi Arabia at Newcastle’s home ground, St. James’ Park, at 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 13.

Meanwhile, Son has been on a roll in the Premier League recently, scoring a hat-trick, so more attention will be paid to his performance for the national team.

Named Spurs’ new captain this season, Heung-min started every game from the opener against Brentford to the fourth round match against Burnley, leading Spurs to a four-match unbeaten run (three wins, one draw).

He has been particularly instrumental in the team’s victories in the first three games, scoring three goals in the most recent game against Burnley. 바카라사이트

Playing as a frontline striker in place of Heung-min Son, the South Korea international opened the scoring in the 16th minute of the first half with his team trailing 1-0 after receiving a pass from left-back Manor Solomon and slotting home a key chip over the keeper in a one-on-one situation, before linking up with Solomon in the 18th minute to split the Burnley goal again with a right-footed shot from the edge of the box. Three minutes later, he completed his hat-trick with a neat left-footed shot that rattled the net when he was one-on-one with the keeper after receiving a penetrating pass from Pedro Foro.

Son, who was named Man of the Match, was later recognized for his performance by various media outlets as he was named in the Best 11 of the Round. The BBC, the Premier League’s official social media accounts, and various statistical outlets named him as one of the top players in their power rankings, including the Daily Mail.

It will be interesting to see how Heung-min performs after his hat-trick against Wales, where he will be looking for his first win under Jürgen Klinsmann.
